Fishing Tackle Question?

fishing tackle boxes

Someone gave me and old tackle box that was full of soft plastic(melted) Lures, along with several standard lures such as rooster tails, poppers and crank baits. I have seen all of the lures before with the exception of one and I was wondering if anyone knew when they had been made or if they are still available. The lure in question is a soft plastic which has somehow come out of the box unscathed, even the hooks in it are in A+ condition. The lure though is about 5-6 inches long and is in the shape and coloration of a catfish complete with whiskers. Does anyone have any info on these lures, also what would they be designed to catch?

that sounds like an old one by “weber”. l think it was called a mudcat or baby mudcat. was made for bass. would probably be taken by a walleye.

I am sorry I can’t tell you what it is, but I think I do know what it was designed to catch. It was probably designed to catch largemouth bass. Are you sure it does not look like a mouse? There are still many types of mouse lures being produced.
