Fishing Rod Rack

Well, I am fairly new at fishing so I wanted to know what should I have in a fresh water tackle box. I usually fish for crappies, bluegill, bass, common carp, and catfish. I am buying all of these supplies at wal-mart. What should I buy? I only have a small budget of about 13 dollars so I need cheap things. Please also include some fake bait.Thank You!

Those are the fish that the lake I’m living on is stocked with. I have never fished before but when I can walk 15 feet from the RV to the water I feel like I should take advantage of it, I just don’t know where to start.

and trout? I know nothing about fishing but me and my husband are moving into a house that is located in a subdivision that has stocked, man made canals. We have a little peer off our house. Someone suggested I start feeding them fish food for a little while then start fishing. Can you suggest some food to feed them and also any bait/tackle suggestions? It’s just catch and release but I thought I would take advantage of the peacefullness of fishing.

Hello everyone. I just moved to New Brunswick, NJ, and I was wondering what would be some good spots in the area to fish for catfish. If anyone knows, please share the knowledge.

What does Barrier-free fishing mean? I also would like recommendations on places to fish that is near the bay area, no more then 2 hours away from San Francisco. I am looking mainly for catfish, panfish, and black bass. A plus if there is a tackle shop near by and a place to rent a boat at. Thank you

I have tried shrimp, livers, night crawlers, and some store bought doughbait. People around me are catching fish but I cant seem to even get a bite.
I used chicken livers and was fishing at night. all i could get to bite were some small striped bass. i let the bait sit on the bottom and people around me were catching 20 pounds and up. 1 guy caught a 44 pound flathead.

Someone gave me and old tackle box that was full of soft plastic(melted) Lures, along with several standard lures such as rooster tails, poppers and crank baits. I have seen all of the lures before with the exception of one and I was wondering if anyone knew when they had been made or if they are still available. The lure in question is a soft plastic which has somehow come out of the box unscathed, even the hooks in it are in A+ condition. The lure though is about 5-6 inches long and is in the shape and coloration of a catfish complete with whiskers. Does anyone have any info on these lures, also what would they be designed to catch?

Personally I started out fishing with a Zebco 33 and a cheap K-Mart pole. I believe it had about 10lb test that was on it for about 10 years.We had 1 pole for everything..PanFish,Bass,Northern,Catfish,ETC
Even though I have up-graded tackle quit-a-bit, sometimes I really miss that old pole…..
