I just bought a new fishing tackle storage box and the dividers are really loose and my hooks and such are sliding out into the next compartment under the divider. Is there a way that I can glue these dividers down so not to affect any lures or soft baits?

Fishing Tackle Question?

fishing tackle boxes

Someone gave me and old tackle box that was full of soft plastic(melted) Lures, along with several standard lures such as rooster tails, poppers and crank baits. I have seen all of the lures before with the exception of one and I was wondering if anyone knew when they had been made or if they are still available. The lure in question is a soft plastic which has somehow come out of the box unscathed, even the hooks in it are in A+ condition. The lure though is about 5-6 inches long and is in the shape and coloration of a catfish complete with whiskers. Does anyone have any info on these lures, also what would they be designed to catch?

fishing tackle for salt-water shore casting?

sea fishing tackle

I was in Catalina lasy year and had some luck casting rappalas from the shore into schools of bait fish being chased by barracuda, white sea bass and/or yellow tail. I landed and released a few sea bass (too small to keep), but lost at least one barrauda and other unknowns to snapped line. I am sure the cuda snapped the line with its teeth, as I did not have a metal leader. Can anyone tell me what line and tackle set-ups would work to land some of these this year? Thanks

Tackle box for dating?

fishing tackle boxes

A friend said that for christmas he wants a “tackle box for dating”. Basically, like a fisherman has a tackle box for things he’d need for fishing…similarly, a ‘tackle box’ for things this guy would need for dating. For a little background, he’s 48, a teacher, likes theatre a lot, fun and funny but a bit shy…and I like him(but we’ve just barely met so don’t even go there!), lol.
Any suggestions?

Good site for buying reasonably priced fishing tackle?

cheap fishing tackle

I am taking up angling again and there’s so many different sites I wondered if anybody has experience of one I might use. I am after a 7ft spinning rod and reel and a 9-10ft fly rod and reel and all other tackle items as I am starting again. Finally is the internet going to be cheaper than using Argos or a local tackle shop for example. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
