Fishing Rod Rack

i hae been catfishing sence i could hold a fishing pole! so im kinda a pro…but even pros can learn new things…try to includ it all my box is pretty big!

I have been fishing a few times but always used other people’s equipment. However, I recently went to Wal-Mart and purchased a rod and reel, round container of hooks, round container of split shot weights, and a 6 pack of bobbers.

I fish in the morning from 7:30-11:00 or at night from 6:00-8:30 in a small (55 acre) lake in WV. I mostly catch bluegill, sunfish, and yellow perch. There are the occasional catfish when I drag along the bottom, and some small and large mouth bass.

I usually just fish with live worms from Wal-Mart but I’m wanting to start a tackle box with some artificial lures. Can anyone give me some ideas what types of baits and lures to fill my tackle box with? If you could give me some links to places online where I can buy them it would be great too.

Well, I am fairly new at fishing so I wanted to know what should I have in a fresh water tackle box. I usually fish for crappies, bluegill, bass, common carp, and catfish. I am buying all of these supplies at wal-mart. What should I buy? I only have a small budget of about 13 dollars so I need cheap things. Please also include some fake bait.Thank You!

i like largemouth and catfish

My boyfriend is really into fishing, and I want to set him up with a new tackle box and supplies for it. I know some of the basics, (needle nose plyers, cutters, line, hooks, filet knife and bait knife etc). We live in San Luis Obispo (well, on the water nearby) and we catch everything from sharks to rock cod to halibut. We go for pretty much anything that will put up a fight. We fish in lakes, on the beach, in the estuary/bay. I just need some reccomendations of what kinda hooks and stuff would be good for kindof a wide variety of fish and environments.

My friend gave me this hunting knife the kind that holds some stuff in the handle. It has some fishing string and a hook what happens if I get got fishing with it I have no fishing license. Its just one line and one hook is that considered just the same if I had a full tackle box and rod.

I just bought a new fishing tackle storage box and the dividers are really loose and my hooks and such are sliding out into the next compartment under the divider. Is there a way that I can glue these dividers down so not to affect any lures or soft baits?

I have a load of junk in my tackle box I want to get rid of and I’m going fishing tomorrow. What should I use…name anything as long as its fake.

Ive never been ice fishing and there for know nothing about it…but my boyfriend loves ice fishing and so for christmas I was gonna get him a little tackle box and fill it with ice fishing lures for him so he can use when he goes ice fishing this winter…is there a difference between ice fishing lures and regular fishing lures?? If so can you please describe the difference or will it say on the package what kind of fishing its for?? Also, what kind of lures do you prefer to ice fish with??

Get the fishing rods, tackle box, chairs, lantern, worms, chicken livers, and a nice big blanket so we can go sit on a big, grassy bank and pull an all nighter- pulling in some big catfish. What do you think?
